Back in 2008, two sisters with a shared love of creativity and all things sparkly dipped their toes into the world of millinery. From this, Designs by Shimmer was born - a brand that blended their names (Sinéad & Emer = Shimmer!), their passions, and their joy for creating unique and timeless pieces.

In 2018, Sinéad sadly passed away at the age of 36 after a bravely fought battle with breast cancer. Though taken far too soon, her energy and spirit remain at the heart of the brand. In recent years, Designs by Shimmer has evolved into BY⭑SHIMMER, with a star added to the branding to represent Sinéad.

The brand remains a tribute to its beginnings, crafting pieces that celebrate creativity, timeless style, and the beautiful women who wear BY⭑SHIMMER.
